A total of 170 higher education institutions across the US have been designated Fulbright Top Producing Institutions by the US Department of State for the 2023/24 academic year.

Some 12 institutions earned the distinction of being top producers of both US scholars and students this year.

Categories in the list are separated into doctoral, masters, baccalaureate and special focus four-year institutions.

University of Southern California was the doctoral institution that had the most candidates joining the overseas mobility program, with 26 scholars and students studying, teaching and conducting research abroad.

Rollins College topped the masters category with four students and three Fulbright scholars.

This year’s list represents “the diversity of America’s higher education community”, Lee Satterfield, assistant secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs, said.

“We congratulate all the Fulbrighters who are making a positive impact across the world”

“Dedicated administrators, faculty, and advisors support students and scholars to fulfil their potential and rise to address tomorrow’s global challenges through the Fulbright Program. We congratulate them, and all the Fulbrighters who are making a positive impact across the world.”

In 2022/23, Georgetown topped the list of the highest number of US students while Penn State and U of Arizona topped the scholar list.

This year, Georgetown was ranked top once again within the student program with 40 doctoral students selected for the program.
