Wednesday evening, the Lane County Community College administration met to vote on potential budget cuts that totaled nearly $4 million dollars. Following over two hours of public testimony from students and faculty alike, the meeting concluded around 11 p.m., with three motions passed by the LCC board. The most significant of these motions involves the board directing the administration to work collaboratively with stakeholders on campus (faculty, staff, students, etc.) to develop more budget packages, and discuss the long reaching effects of cuts on departments.
