The House of Lords European Affairs Committee has called for a UK-EU relations “reset”, including a shake up of the current student mobility landscape. In its new report, The future UK-EU relationship, the committee uses evidence from stakeholders to examine the overarching state of the post-Brexit relationship between the UK and EU, delving into themes including mobility of people and the overall political, diplomatic and institutional relationship between the UK and the EU.

We have heard from staff and faculty across the WVU System sharing creative approaches to help identify areas where expense reductions can occur. A voluntary Work-Time Reduction Program, designed with input from our campus community, provides staff and faculty two options to remain active WVU employees while reducing their time and effort at work.

Vice President for Strategic Initiatives Rob Alsop, who gave the budget update following President Gee’s recent announcement of a $35 million budget deficit, said it wasn’t the administration’s predetermined goal to make WVU a smaller university and that the decisions being made are based on projections of declining enrollment and revenue over the next decade.
