UNL Chancellor proposes $10.8M in permanent cuts - KETV

The University of Nebraska Lincoln Chancellor Ronnie Green said they must be willing to make "difficult choices" in dealing with a $23 million deficit. He is calling for $10.8 million in permanent cuts to address dipping enrollment and less tuition revenue. Green said in an email to faculty Friday, "We cannot simply cover budget shortfalls with cash reserves on a temporary basis. As responsible leaders, we must be willing to make the difficult choices." He is recommending $10.8 million in permanent reductions.
