How this university produces a high percentage of women CEOs: ‘We walk the talk’

Some colleges and universities are better than others at preparing graduates to become CEOs, according to a new study by College Rover, and there’s one school that does an exceptionally good job of sending women to the top C-suite.

According to College Rover’s research, American University in Washington, D.C., has produced the largest percentage of female CEOs (52 percent) among its alumni base. It’s also the only college on College Rover’s list with more female CEO alumni than male (6 percent more).

American University is led by Sylvia Burwell, the school’s 15th president and the first woman to serve in the role.
