Its been great to be involved with the ALT SIG on Anti-racism and Learning Technology. They have organised a couple events in November:

Webinar: Anti-racist Approaches in Technology – a FutureLearn course
In this webinar, Liza Layne will give an overview of the FutureLearn MOOC ‘Anti-Racist Approaches to Technology’. Liza will describe the content of the course, the types of activities students engaged with and a brief evaluation of the course. This will be followed by a Q&A with Liza and the webinars participants.

3 Nov 2022 4:00 PM through 5:00 PM

Anti-racism in Learning Technology Toolkit half day workshop
This half-day workshop will give attendees a chance to engage with the anti-racism reflection tool developed by members of the Anti-racism in Learning Technology SIG. Activities will centre around how it might be possible to apply the tool in your context and discussion.

Also coming soon in December there will be a ALT Anti-Racism & Learning Technology SIG Reading Group…

ARLT SIG Reading Group

The reading group discussion is around anti-racism and allyship. Through the lens of texts relating to allyship, we will examine the term allyship as it relates to anti-racism, including what it means in the literature, in the vernacular, and to us.

Tuesday 6th December, 2pm – 3.30pm

Pre-reading essential. Max. 15 attendees
