BROWNS English Language School has opened a new location in Melbourne as it seeks to expand its footprint across Australia.
The provider, which was acquired by Monarch Institute in early 2022, said it recognises the allure of Australia’s “education capital”.
“Expanding to Melbourne is a testament to our commitment to provide exceptional language education across Australia,” CEO Justin Blake said in a statement.
After two decades in Queensland, BROWNS is excited to “embrace new opportunities and take the next step in our journey”, he continued.

The new campus in the city’s CBD is a sign of the company’s “intention to disrupt” the market and open doors for students.

There may also be a void to fill for languages providers when some operators closed during the pandemic or left the market, such as EC English. However, accommodation availability continues to be problematic for providers.
The new location will offer Intensive General English, High School Preparation, Cambridge, IELTS, and English for Academic Purposes programs.
BROWNS added that it is poised to add substantial value to the Melbourne market by leveraging its extensive and established education pathway and partnerships.
