Cedric Bernard Rucker has been named senior associate dean in the Office of African-American Affairs at the University of Virginia. He served as associate vice president for student affairs and dean of student life at the University of Mary Washington. Rucker received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Mary Washington and earned a master’s and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia.
