Sally A. Kornbluth has been appointed president of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Kornbluth served as Duke University’s provost. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Williams College, a bachelor’s degree in genetics from Cambridge University as a Herchel Smith Scholar at Emmanuel College, and a Ph.D. in molecular oncology at Rockefeller University.
