Boston College indefinitely suspended its men’s and women’s swimming and diving program after officials determined hazing had taken place, ESPN reported.

“The University does not—and will not—tolerate hazing in any form,” read a statement from the college. “During the suspension, all Swimming and Diving student-athletes will continue to have access to academic and medical resources provided to all Boston College student-athletes.”

A spokesperson told The Heights that the dean of students’ office would investigate the charges, which would be adjudicated through the student conduct process.

The head coach of both teams, Joe Brinkman, is starting his second season at BC. He previously spent four years as an assistant coach at the University of Notre Dame.
