From a sample of over 560,000 first year, first time community college students and over 32,000 instructors in Texas between 2013 and 2020, researchers found that 77% of white students experienced a racial match. That means making sure that people get tenure and stay in academia.

It was clear from the various senior speakers present that both organisations have filled a gap in providing accessible policy-focused information.

The HEFCE-commissioned evaluation tells us only that it was not very ‘useful’ in the terms defined by the current policy framework. It tells us next to nothing about its value in other frames of reference, or even in a policy frame over a longer timescale. However, his tenure was probably the high point of the last 12 years.
