The British Academy points to ‘the impact and value research’ in the humanities and related disciplines ‘can deliver to policy makers and the wider public’. Teaching-only’, ‘Teaching and Scholarship’ and ‘Teaching-focussed’ academic jobs have become increasingly common. The Royal Society adopts the same wording.
