Colleges go offbeat for cybersecurity training

A “slam the spam” trivia event quizzed participants on security trivia. Art was prominent at the event that was held last month. Students also performed live sketch comedy in an event called Security Night Live. Nearly all (96 percent) reported that they would recommend the event to a friend or colleague.

Claudine Gay to become first Black president of Harvard

Image: Harvard University announced its 30th president Thursday, drawing from within to hire Claudine Gay, the first Black president in the institution’s nearly 400-year history. Though Gay has not previously held a presidency, she has a long history with Harvard. Bacow, who announced in June that he would step down next year.

Called Women in Math, Science and Engineering (WIMSE) and housed at Cawthon Hall, the LLC promotes women’s success in STEM. DS LLC members complete a first-year seminar with their floor mates.
